Cheyenne Steam Plant Located in the West Edge Redevelopment District in downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming, the project included an in-depth historic study for the rehabilitation of the former Northern Colorado Power Company electric steam plant building which followed the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The study included the stabilization of the three story, 1907 facility and two later additions that has been vacant and deteriorating since the mid 1980's, with detailed estimates and prioritization of repairs along with projections of repurposing the facility for a mixed use mercantile, restaurant, office, and apartment complex. The study was funded by the Alliance for Historic Wyoming via a grant from the Wyoming Business Council.
